Resonance & Healing - Kundalini Yoga & Song Circle
Think live music during a Kundalini Yoga class, that turns into a song circle kirtan-style... Rachel and Hannah will share and teach some original songs and chant and learn a few traditional Kundalini chants as well…
We will begin with opening mantras to ground us, then weave in and out of meditation, movement, chanting, partner practice, gong, singing, receiving, and maybe even some dancing! Come with an open mind and spirit, and be ready to connect to the divine through music, movement, our voices and each other….

I have been exploring Internal Family Systems (IFS) over the past few years, and found it to be incredibly helpful, both for myself, and my therapy and coaching clients. Last Fall, we explored the concept of Self in IFS (closely correlated with Soul in Kundalini Yoga). This winter, I'll be exploring the concept of the Exile, which is closely correlated with the Inner Child.
In IFS therapy, Exiles are young, vulnerable parts of us that hold painful memories, beliefs, and emotions (like shame, fear, sadness) from past traumas, often feeling frozen in time. These hidden parts, representing wounded inner children, carry burdens from events like criticism, abandonment, or loss, and yearn to be seen and loved by your compassionate adult self (the Self).
In each class, we'll do warmups, then practice a Kundalini kriya (yoga set) and/or meditation geared towards healing the emotions of fear, anger, shame, or grief/disappointment. We'll end each class with a Kundalini practice created for children to help encourage the feelings of joy, self worth, and playfulness. I'll also be sharing more about how to access and take care of your own Exiles, and there will be some time for journaling and occasional sharing.
No prior experience with IFS or Kundalini Yoga is necessary.

One of the core ideas in IFS is that we all have a Self - an inner resource of warmth, love, and compassion. It is always available to us, and helps us to navigate and work with all the parts that make up who we are.
When we are connected to Self energy, we experience "The 8 C's."
Which are:
Calm
Clarity
Compassion
Curiosity
Creativity
Connectedness
Courage
Confidence
In this class series, we will talk about and explore (through Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, breathwork, visualization, and mantra) two of the 8Cs per class. In my experience, Self (or Soul) energy becomes more available to us during Kundalini practices, so these classes will explore how Kundalini Yoga & Meditation can help bring about an embodied experience of Self energy. No prior experience with IFS is needed.

Class Series Title: Nervous System Alchemy for Women
In these times of uncertainty and rapid chaotic change, we need community and we need each other. Join Rachel for themed classes that will include the ancient practices of yoga sets, meditation, breathing, eye focus, visualization & relaxation, and mantras & affirmations, as well as incorporate modern nervous system science. This Spring, the topic will focus on healing and toning the vagus nerve (which leads to more emotional resilience, quicker recovery from stress, and better immune function), an exploration of Polyvagal Theory (safe/social, fight/flight, freeze/numb), and include all the practices that support us to move from a fear based state into regulation, connection, empowerment, and trust in your body and your self.
These classes will draw on Kundalini Yoga sets and meditations, but won’t be traditional KY classes.

Goddess Classes available
In 2020, Rachel offered Kundalini Yoga Zoom classes focused on goddesses from various cultures and traditions. They have now been curated and are offered in sets of 5 classes, for a donation of $20 - $30. In each class is a talk on the goddess and how she is relevant to a current life theme, a warmup set, a yoga set, and a mudra to help you embody the energy of that particular goddess or divine feminine archetype. Spring 2026 Kundalini Yoga Classes on Zoom
Perfectionist, Pleaser, Planner: Befriending the Managers Within through Kundalini Yoga and IFS
A 4-week Kundalini Yoga & Internal Family Systems series exploring the parts of us that plan, strive, and try to keep life safe.
This is the third in a series of classes combining Kundalini Yoga and Internal Family Systems. We’ve focused on the 8cs of Self Energy in the first series (calm, clarity, compassion, curiosity, confidence, courage, connectedness and creativity), and we’ve worked with Exile or Inner Child parts in the second series. In this next series of 4 classes, we’ll explore the Protector parts, and in particular, the Managers. These are parts that work to prevent pain and protect our inner child by maintaining control. They focus on planning, controlling, and keeping life predictable and safe. The four types of managers we’ll be exploring in this series are:
Perfectionist/Inner Critic/Judge
People pleaser/Caretaker/Approval Seeker
Taskmaster/Image manager/Over achiever
Safety monitor/Over planner/Trouble shooter
In each class, we’ll identify aspects of our internal system that might be taking on these roles, interview them to find out more about their purpose and how they arose, and experience embodied practices (Kundalini Yoga and Meditation) to help them experience more calm, compassion, confidence, clarity, and courage.
No prior experience with IFS or Kundalini Yoga necessary. If you’d like to get recordings of the classes from the earlier series, let me know; and, they are not necessary to take this class.
